Falcon Tyres Ltd has informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on May 14, 2014, inter alia, has proposed the appointment of M/S Gora & Co, Chartered accounts Kolkata as Statutory Auditors of the Company in the place of M/S. Gutgutia & Co, Kolkata, who have resigned as the Statutory Auditors of the Company, subject to the approval of the Shareholders at their meeting to be held on June 16, 2014.
Also, the Board has appointed Mr. Dipak Das, Mrs. Baishali Roy and Mr. Rupendra Nath Kumar as Independent Directors of the Company.
Further, The Board has accepted the resignation of Mr. Ambuj Jain, who has resigned from the Board.
