With reference to the news item appearing in the media titled 'Carnival Films, Cinepolis in talks to buy SRS Cinemas', SRS Ltd has Clarified to BSE as under :
'1. No such negotiations are taking place and no representative of SRS Limited has spoken with Carnival Films or Cinepolis or any other entity in this regard.
Moreover, SRS Limited is, infact, in the process of planning strong expansions to add to it screen count and geographical presence. As of now, the Company has no plans to sell, in whole or in part, its cinema business.
2. Further, we are not aware of any other information not disclosed to the stock exchanges which could explain the aforesaid movement in the trading of the shares of the Company or which should have been announced to the Exchange by the Company,
Further, there is no name of any officials of any of the companies/merchant banker mentioned in the news item.
The news is denied by the Company.'
