Lumino Industries, incorporated in 2005 and building on a Kolkata-based trading heritage that began in 1969, has developed from a conductor-and-cable manufacturing operation into an integrated, product-led engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company serving India’s power transmission and distribution sector. Its business evolved through the addition of power-distribution EPC work in 2006, solar EPC in 2018, aluminium alloy and wire-rod production in 2019, and high-temperature low-sag (HTLS) conductor manufacturing in 2020; it now operates manufacturing and EPC divisions. The product portfolio includes aluminium conductors—such as ACSR, AAAC and advanced HTLS variants—power cables and electrical wires, while EPC capabilities span transmission and distribution systems, EHV substations, HTLS reconductoring, railway electrification, solar installations, and water-management projects. Its principal strengths are vertically integrated manufacturing, use of its products in its own EPC projects, and the capacity-enhancing HTLS conductor technology, which is designed to increase power transfer on existing transmission lines. Lumino supplies leading EPC contractors including Kalpataru Projects International, Jackson, Warora Kurnool Transmission, and Monte Carlo, as well as domestic and overseas utility-related customers. Operationally, the company positions itself as an end-to-end partner—from design and manufacturing through commissioning and maintenance—emphasizing control over quality, schedule, and system performance while addressing the need for more reliable grid, renewable-energy, rail, and utility infrastructure.
