Raksan Transformers, incorporated in July 1995 and headquartered in New Delhi, began as a transformer repair and servicing operation and transitioned in 2005–06 into full-scale manufacturing, later expanding to two production facilities in Rai, Sonepat, Haryana. Its core business is designing, manufacturing and testing electrical transformers for power generation, transmission and distribution, with a product portfolio that includes distribution transformers, power transformers, transformers for solar applications and special-purpose transformers such as furnace and earthing units. The company’s expertise lies in in-house core cutting, wire drawing, tank fabrication and assembly across various voltage ratings, supported by ISO 9001:2015 certification, BIS approval for transformers up to 2,500 kVA and BEE Level 2/3 energy-efficiency ratings. A distinguishing strength is its established manufacturing infrastructure and long-standing relationships with government entities, power utilities, public sector undertakings and EPC contractors, with approved-vendor status at over 20 public-sector organizations. Its principal customers are state electricity boards, power distribution companies and industrial clients, and its engagement approach is primarily tender-driven, emphasizing reliability, standardized manufacturing and compliance to help utilities and industrial users address grid-expansion, rural electrification and renewable-integration needs with dependable transformer supply.
