BLS Polymers, incorporated in 1991, began as a domestic polymer-compounding venture and has evolved from cable compounds for telephone, optical-fibre and power cables into a broader supplier of custom-formulated materials for wires and cables and protective pipeline coatings. Its core focus is developing and manufacturing polymer compounds that insulate, sheath and jacket cables and protect underground oil, gas and water pipelines from corrosion, moisture and environmental exposure. Its principal product segments include polyethylene compounds (HDPE, MDPE and LLDPE), cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), halogen-free flame-retardant compounds, PVC, cable-filling compounds and adhesive coating compounds, with more than 127 grades across six categories. Its expertise lies in formulation development, compounding, quality testing, flame retardance, high-voltage insulation, moisture resistance, anti-tracking and customised grades for power, telecom, railway, water and oil-and-gas applications. A distinctive strength is its customer-specific formulation capability and long-standing relationships with major Indian cable manufacturers, supported by an ISO 9001:2015-certified Goa plant with in-house laboratory testing and products listed with major public-sector enterprises. Important customers include cable and pipeline makers such as Advance Cable Technologies, Mantram Industries, Ratnamani Metals & Tubes and Tirupati Plastomatics, with historical references to KEC International, Havells, Finolex Cables, HFCL and UM Cables.
