Karamtara Engineering, incorporated in May 1996 and converted to a public limited company in December 2024, is a backward-integrated manufacturer of engineered steel products for the renewable-energy and power-transmission sectors that has evolved from job-work fabrication of transmission-line towers into a diversified, multi-product engineering group. Its core business spans two segments: solar-energy structures (fixed-tilt mounting structures, tracker components such as piles, piers and torque tubes, and related fasteners) and transmission-line hardware (lattice and angular towers for overhead lines up to 1,200 kV, tubular wind-turbine towers, and associated fittings). The company’s expertise lies in large-scale, specification-driven fabrication and hot-dip galvanizing, supported by multiple manufacturing units across India and an in-house galvanizing capacity of about 258,000 metric tonnes per annum. A distinguishing strength is its integrated, one-stop-shop model for solar mounting and tracker systems and transmission products, combined with a growing export footprint to more than 50 countries and planned capacity additions in Gujarat and Saudi Arabia. Its customers are renewable-energy developers, EPC contractors and power-transmission utilities in India and overseas, and its operational approach emphasizes reliability, precision and end-to-end manufacturing to help clients meet project schedules, quality standards and durability requirements in large-scale energy and grid-infrastructure deployments.
